Following the success of our 2020 litter pick Bredgar Parish Council are running the event again this year. Last year we had tremendous support from everyone in the village and collected over 60 sacks of litter. Leaving the village looking much tidier after our efforts.

Unfortunately those people who don't care have carried on discarding their unwanted litter indiscriminately since and there is plenty for us to pick up again!

We will be litter picking this year on Sunday the 12th September from 10:30am to 2:00pm.

To join in please contact Stephen Parfitt on 01622 884362, 07886 598142 or bpc.parfitt@gmail.com

Litter picker tools, Hi Vis Vests, plastic sacks and some gloves will be available for volunteers at the start of the event at the Village Hall. Once again filled sacks should be left safely on the verge at the side of the road. We will be collecting the sacks from the verges on the following day (Monday) and SBC/Biffa will be collecting all the litter from the Primrose Lane grass triangle on Tuesday 14th September.

If you do volunteer to help. Please read our event instructions here. These have been drawn up based on our risk assessment, which must be done for the loan of equipment from SBC and as preparation for a safe event.
