Bredgar Parish Council have plastic bags available from the Post Office for any Bredgar parishioners who are going to take part in the Great British Spring Clean. Keep Britain Tidy is running the campaign to get half a million people out and about cleaning their local communities over the weekend 3rd to 5th March. The campaign is supported by KCC, Swale Borough Council and our MP (Gordon Henderson).

Last March we held a clean up event with the school and villagers under the Clean for the Queen campaign. This demonstrated that the centre of our village had some litter, but the most litter was in the country lanes within our parish. Our lanes are blighted by massive amount of litter thrown from cars.

We are not running an event this year but do encourage residents to collect a bag and litter pick near their homes. Filled bags can be placed by the bin at the entrance to the recreation ground and will be collected the following week.
